Interim Principal Earle is looking for parents who are interested in applying for open positions on Woodstock’s Site Council. This is a meaningful way to support our school and help shape the work happening behind the scenes. If you’ve been wanting a way to support the school in a deeper, more impactful way, this is it!

What Does Site Council Do?

Duties of the Council as defined in state law:

  • Assist in developing and implementing a process for preparing an annual school improvement plan, including participation by staff, family members, community members and students.
  • Implement a school survey for assessing community opinions regarding the school program.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a current local school profile which describes student performance information and characteristics.
  • Establish and prioritize student performance goals in accordance with district goals and state standards.
  • Develop plans to reach student performance goals utilizing current educational research and professional development.
  • Develop and utilize a communication plan for involving the community in planning for school improvement.
  • Support the plan's implementation by identifying and applying current resources and participating in efforts to acquire new resources.
