Woodstock students, it's your time to shine!
This year, the Woodstock Student Talent Show will accept video submissions, which will be presented in a one‑night‑only community viewing on Friday, April 10 at 6pm.
There will be no live performances—instead, Woodstock families and friends are invited to gather in the cafetorium, watch the videos together, and celebrate our talented performers in the audience.
Have a talent you want to share? Here’s what you need to know.
- 🗓️ Deadline: All video submissions are due by April 3.
- 🎤 What counts as a talent? Just about anything! Sing a song, perform a dance, read a poem, show off a magic trick, film a timelapse of your drawing, or walk us through a cool science experiment.
- 📤 How to submit: Please upload your video using the form linked below. If your video includes other students, each student must have a parent submit the form—but only one family needs to upload the actual video.
- ⏱ Video length: Please keep videos 3 minutes or less. Shorter is great! If we receive many full‑length videos, we may need to edit for time.
- 🚨 Important: A parent or guardian must complete the form and certify that Woodstock has permission to include your video in the show.
Video Tips
- 👀 Make sure we can see you! Your smartphone camera is perfect for this. Videos should be well-lit and filmed close enough for us to see what's happening. Use a tripod or other surface to reduce camera movement.
- 👂Make sure we can hear you! While your smartphone microphone is adequate, reduce background noise and test the sound to make sure words and music are clear.
- 🐳 Make sure your file size isn't too big! Smartphone videos of the appropriate length should be just fine. If you use a higher level of equipment, you may need to resize your video. If you can't upload your video to the form due to size, you can try re-sizing or send it via file sharing service (Wetransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) to talentshow@woodstockpta.org.
